How it works

Getting started:

Using any printmaking technique, print an edition of 11 postcards based on the theme of the year. Once complete, the cards are individually mailed to the address as shown on the postcard sample below. In return participants each receive 10 prints made by other participating printmakers. There is no cost for participating and return postage will be paid by the Southern Printmakers Association.

Note: One copy of each postcard is retained in our archive and is exhibited at our next group exhibition as well as being published on our website.

Essential information:

• 1 entry per participant
• 11 prints in the edition
• Size of paper 10cm x 15cm (4” x 6”)
• Paper 250 – 350 gsm
• No bulk entries– send the postcards individually, the stamps and postmarks are integral to the postcard.
• Your address on the back of the postcard must be readable, so we can send your exchange prints. We will never publish your address. We may show your message.

Note: If you are mailing from overseas and are concerned your postcards will be delayed please contact us to let us know.

Note: By participating in the postcard exchange, you are giving the Southern Printmakers Association Inc. permission to use your postcard’s image and content for exhibition, publishing, and promotional purposes (no personal addresses or emails will be published).
