‘LIGHT and SHADE’ is an exploration of the way tonal contrast, light and shade or chiaroscuro is used by artists in the development of their composition.

Each printmaker will present a series of works giving their own interpretation of this theme.

Highlights: 

• A collaborative project of unframed works, all the same size… relating to aspects of LIGHT and SHADE will be displayed on the main wall of the Broadhurst Gallery.
• An educational showcase of various printmaking methods and plates.
• A presentation of SPA’s 2018/2019 Postcard Exchange works
