Night Life

I am an artist and photographer based in the Sutherland Shire, Sydney. My journey into printmaking began after taking a class at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery, where I discovered my passion for photo polymer etching. This technique allows me to seamlessly integrate my love of drawing into my prints.

I create art that explores the impossible or improbable nature of everyday objects and situations. My work connects people with ordinary items, reimagining their purposes and functions in intriguing ways.

Influenced by my childhood fascination with fairy tales and magic tricks, my artistic perspective was further shaped during my university studies in painting and drawing, where I encountered the surreal works of Salvador Dalí and René Magritte.

My prints are known for their detailed compositions of intricate lines and patterns, initially crafted with fine line pens. I am especially captivated by the narratives formed by people, animals, and their shadows, as well as by objects and animals with anthropomorphic qualities. These elements frequently appear in my work, infusing each piece with a sense of humour and whimsy.
