The theme for our 2026 swap is: INDUSTRY
Getting started:
Submissions must be created specifically for this swap using a recognised printmaking technique, such as: collagraphy, etching, drypoint, screenprinting, linocut, woodblock, mezzotint, lithography, etc..
Print an edition of 6 x A5 bleed prints based on the theme of the year.
Once complete, the prints and entry form should be sent in one package, interleaved with tissue or glassine, marked ‘Printed material: No commercial value‘ and mailed to:

In return, participants will each receive 5 prints made by other participating printmakers.
Note: One copy of each print is retained in our archive. It may be exhibited at our group exhibition, be published on our website and be offered for sale to support the ongoing work of the Association.
There is a AUD$25 fee for participating and return postage will be paid by the Southern Printmakers Association.
Essential information:
- Timeline: Entries are due by 1st March and return prints will be mailed out no later than 31st March.
- 1 entry per participant.
- 6 bleed prints in the edition. The back of each print should display the name of the artist, print title, edition number (e.g. 1/6) and technique, written in pencil.
- Paper size: A5 – 148 x 210mm (5.8” x 8.3”)
- Paper type: Prints must be presented on recognised archival printmaking paper, such as: BFK Rives, Hahnemuhle, Fabriano.
- Chine-collé should be used in conjunction with archival papers and glue.
- $25 entry fee – amount to be deposited into our account using your surname and the word SWAP in the description. Email your payment receipt to southernprintmakers@gmail.com.
