Elizabeth graduated with a Masters in Printmaking at the Royal College of Art in London in 2025 where she was awarded the Deputy Vice Chancellor’s International Student Scholarship. Her BFA studies at National Art School in Sydney from 2022 to 2024 included printmaking, drawing and painting.
A screenprint residency in Oaxaca, Mexico in 2022 gave Elizabeth the opportunity to explore historical links between colour and labour in image making, an experience which continues to inform her practice. From 2017 to 2020 Elizabeth attended the Art Students League of New York and studied botanical illustration at the New York Botanical Gardens where she developed a love of drawing from life.
Elizabeth’s early career as a classical dancer with The Australian Ballet has influenced her attraction to printmaking, as both dance and print involve collaborative processes.

When working in the print studio informal conversations frequently occur due to the sharing of equipment and space. These exchanges can enhance the quality of work as well as offer a sense of artistic collegiality in a sometimes-disconnected world. Also, the weight of the press embeds imagery into paper through contact, which relates to Elizabeth’s experience of dance. Shared movement whether in couples or groups is weighted and subject to the laws of gravity, providing opportunities for different ways of knowing others.
