
Christine Druitt-Preston, A Stilled Life, solo exhibition, Hazelhurst Arts Centre
Sydney based artist, Christine Druitt-Preston, a graduate of Alexander Mackie CAE, the National Art School & Alfred University, Alfred, NY, is a mixed media artist whose practice explores themes relating to the domestic, be these interiors or gardens.

Her artmaking, while print based, acknowledges the themes and practices of earlier women artists and artisans; employing techniques of printmaking, collage, embroidery, and installation to engage her audience in conversations about the nature of art.
She worked, for many years, as an art educator within TAFE NSW and the NSW Department of Secondary School Education. In 2017 she resumed her artmaking practice full time, calling an end to her commitment to art education as a teacher of Art and Design.
Christine Druitt-Preston´s work has been exhibited as finalist in major Art Awards in Australia including 2023 finalist exhibitions at Blacktown City Art Prize; Sunshine Coast Art Award, Caloundra Regional Gallery, Qld; Naked & Nude Art Prize at Manning Regional Gallery, NSW, and The Gosford Art Prize, Gosford Regional Gallery.
Her work is held in the collections of Friends of Hazelhurst, NSW; Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery, NSW; Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Centre, NSW; Bathurst Regional Gallery, NSW; Brooklyn Art Library; The State University of New York; and Alfred University, NY, USA, as well as in private collections within Australia and USA.
She is represented by Artsite Contemporary
