Ewart Gallery, Willoughby Arts Centre
The Responding exhibition represented an exchange between Southern Printmakers Association and Southern Highlands Printmakers, showcasing graphic works from 28 artists working in the field of contemporary printmaking.
The purpose of the exchange was to foster dialogue between groups and among the members.
Each participant – 14 from each group – produced a print in their own individual style, a photo of which was emailed to their ‘partner’ in the other group. This person then responded to the image received, thus creating a brand new work relating to the original piece.
The Ewart Gallery is housed within the Willoughby Arts Centre and comprises a large well-lit rectangular exhibition space, providing excellent viewing of art pieces.
