Bowral Art Gallery
The Responding exhibition represents an exchange between Southern Highlands Printmakers and Southern Printmakers Association, showcasing graphic works from 28 artists working in the field of contemporary printmaking.
The purpose of the exchange is to foster dialogue between groups and among the members.
Initially, each participant – 14 from each group – produced a print in their own individual style which was then emailed to their ‘partner’ in the other group. The aim was for this person to then respond to the image they had been sent, thus creating a brand new work related to the original piece.
