Hazelhurst Curators Talk – 21st August, 2013. Art on Paper Award

On Wednesday, 15 members of the Southern Printmakers Association attended an exclusive tour of the Art on Paper Award with Curator Carrie Kibbler.

Over the course of an hour Ms Kibbler highlighted her favourite works and provided a fascinating insight into the curator’s selection process.

Art on Paper: Hazelhurst Art Award 2013

Winner of the Art on Paper Award for 2013 is Lynne Roberts-Goodwin.

The Emerging Artist prize of $5,000, was won by Gregory Hodge with his work titled Magazine Mystics.

Packers Prize of an artist residency at Hazelhurst was won by Justine Varga with Moving Out.

The Friends of Hazelhurst Local Artist prize of $5,000 was won by Michelle Cawthorn with her mixed media work titled Bear.

Suzanne Shelley has been to Pentimenti at Wollongong, the Italian Consulate and now Hazelhurst.

Suzanne and Laura, an exhibiting artist, have seen all three exhibition spaces and it would be great to hear there thoughts on the different apaces and how they lend themselves to the display of the prints.
